When I started the podcast late in 2019 I had many doubts about it. Would people want to listen to it? How would record it? Would it sound as good as I want it to be? How will I market it? And there were so many other things that someone needs to do in order to grow a podcast.
And through the years I have received many words of support from friends and researchers that I have had the pleasure to host in the show. But this week comes a great honor because I am featured in the out-of-competition section of the Thessaloniki International Film Festival. Now you might as how can a podcast be featured in a film festival and what is the “out of competition” section. Well, I was as surprised as you were, but my friend Michael Tegos sent me the application sometime in August and said that he’s applying for it for his great podcast Interesting Times (greek) and that I should give it a shot too.
I got excited and started thinking of potential episodes that I could submit. I then decided to submit edition 19 of the podcast “How do we choose words?” with Dr. Evangelia Balatsou. As to what the out of competition means? Your guess is as good as mine! But I’m beyond excited to be featured in a film festival and I’m looking forward to what the future holds for Lefteris asks science and the other projects I have in the pipeline.
Huge thanks to Michael for the heads up, and the Thessaloniki Film Festival people for including me in the festival. Be sure to check other podcasts and films being presented at the festival here.
